Powell and his company Kraken adhere to the philosophy that cryptocurrencies and blockchain can change the financial system and provide greater freedom and accessibility to financial services.

Kraken, a cryptocurrency exchange, became the first in the United States to receive a banking license.

Kraken, a Bitcoin exchange, has become the first in the United States to receive a Special Purpose Depository Institution (SPDI) status, granting it the functions of a traditional financial institution. The banking license application of the California-based company was approved by the Wyoming Banking Board.

  • Trust: The banking license means that Kraken complies with strict regulatory requirements and standards, ensuring reliability and transparency. This provides additional protection and trust for investors who want to work with a regulated platform.
  • Security: The banking license allows Kraken to enhance the security of storing client funds. Invested funds will be held in accordance with banking security standards, helping to protect them from potential threats.
  • Enhanced funding and withdrawal capabilities: The banking license expands Kraken's ability to process deposits and withdrawals. Investors will be able to use various methods to fund their accounts, such as bank transfers or cards, making the process more convenient and efficient.
  • Growth and additional services: Obtaining a banking license will help Kraken expand its services and products. The exchange may consider opportunities to provide banking services such as lending or savings accounts, which could lead to additional company growth and provide new opportunities for clients.

Kraken & Coinbase

  • Kraken offers more features and trading tools, such as an order book and margin trading. This provides users with more flexibility and trading opportunities.
  • Kraken also has a strong reputation for security and takes measures to protect users' funds and data. While Coinbase also provides a high level of security, Kraken is considered one of the most trusted platforms in the market.
  • Kraken indeed offers a high level of margin trading, allowing users to amplify their investments through borrowing funds. This can be beneficial for experienced traders who want to increase their potential profits. Coinbase, on the other hand, does not offer such features and lacks margin trading capabilities.
  • Indeed, Kraken provides a wide variety of trading pairs, offering users more opportunities to diversify their investments. This allows traders to access different cryptocurrencies and potentially capitalize on various market trends. Coinbase, on the other hand, has a more limited selection of trading pairs, which may restrict users' options for diversification.

Features of venture investments

  • The average duration of an investor's stay in a project is about five years. This period is unpredictable and cannot be determined by anyone.
  • You can invest in a deal at any time as long as it is available on the Marketplace and is not Sold Out.
  • An 'exit' from a transaction is possible only after the company's shares are listed on the stock exchange for trading.
  • Venture investments are generally high-risk, but also highly profitable if the shares are successfully listed on the stock exchange.
